Symptoms of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)


Coronaviruses belongs to the race of viruses that cause sickness ranging from the common cold to more severe infections. The novel coronavirus (covid-19) is found in animals and transmitted from animals to human beings and then from human to human through close interaction.

Two major coronaviruses also reported other than the covid-19 which have been transmitted from animals to humans and cause illness in humans. These are SAR-s CoV (Severe Acute Respiratory-syndrome Coronavirus) and MER-s CoV (Middle East Respiratory-syndrome Coronavirus).


The symptoms for the novel coronavirus (covid-19) ranges from mild to severe. This virus takes two days to half of the month to develop after exposure for symptoms. These foremost symptoms may include:

  • Fever
  • Cold
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Cough
  • Shortness of the breath
  • sore throat

The humans with weak immune systems may develop serious infections, such as kidney failure, pneumonia, or even death.
